In 1977 I purchased a 1977 Grand Prix LJ this was one of the best cars that I have ever owned, mine came with wire wheels and the bumper guards and the cornering lights. I only wish I could buy a car like this today, a GREAT car ---- 😀

I still have My 69/400-4spd. They just don't make them like this anymore. I do like this 1. Really good car for someone.

My first car 77 gp t tops charcoal met gray 400 ci with crap power but car rode like a dream. Lived gas stations lol for 400 big block had no.power due to smog crap and detuning for gas mileage, detuned still got crappy mpg and lost power, domestic cars in 70s early 80s were horrible mechanically.

I had a black 79 Grand Prix, my dad had a 79 black Monte Carlo, where did you find this perfect time capsule, it`s gorgeous.

It’s so nice to see a Grand Prix looking the way it’s supposed to look. White line tires NOT letters like some hick. These are personal luxury cars not Firebirds, Corvette or Mustang.

An SJ with crank windows? My Dad's SJ has extremely low mileage, Dad owned it, 3128 actual miles. A survivor with Buckets, EVERY option, T-tops, 3 metal spoke wheel, original, never used spare, leather, power windows. Tilt, 5 spoke wheels, redline tires, duel power Buckets, dual z climate controlled AC. 400 CiD H.O. 4BBL V8. Limited slip rear axle, partial rear vinyl roof, and 8 track, AM/FM stereo with additional speakers. Dad bought it, didn't like it, so he bought a Caddilac Fleetwood brougham and this car has been garaged in the climate controlled unit. My 2 older brothers have taken care of the maintenance on the car and no1has ever sat on the leather seats. Seat covers were installed b4 delivery, right off line. Dad ordered his cars factory direct, then. Now, Dad is 90 and just sold his trucking company to my 2 oldest brothers. Very nice 77 GP. I like the spots package here.

We had one exactly like that 77. Handled great, looked great, ac was great, but the motor was crap. I guess we got a dud built on a Friday. Dumped it a year later for half the price. Sure was nice looking though.

Nice car, those were awful years for cars with smog choked engines, big ugly bumpers and horrible build and materials quality but if you had to buy a car in 77 this car was one of your best choices! Good looking, comfortable and powerful by 1977 standards

Had one just like it back in the late 80's I paid $100 for. It did have a beige interior but other than that and it was not in nearly as nice a shape looks the same.

an SJ with out power windows. whattttt
@y.b.siryis9142 жыл бұрын
I had a 1976 SJ with manual windows because that's what I wanted when I factory ordered the car. Power windows in that era were garbage and I would have had to repair them dozens of times in the 35 years I had the car.

Would it kill you drive the car for viewers? If you care about posting it here then you care about selling it. If you feel you're going to sell it anyway and don't need to do a test drive for viewers then why post it here at all?
@showdownauto2 жыл бұрын
technically it could kill Dave or someone else on the road. If you have ever driven a 77 Grand Prix SJ you know it drives nice...that's why people buy these cars.
@624radicalham2 жыл бұрын
@@showdownauto They drove nice when they were new. But you must be new to the internet. On KZbin people drive cars. You'd have to have a serious mental handicap to take a video on a backroad or a parking lot and kill another human being. Your outrage and drama and indignity is pathetic. However Grand Prix's do drive beautiful.

Nowhere has the de-masculinization of America been more apparent than its car designs...Good Lord what a handsome car this was. FF to unisexual 2024 and what does a feller get for his money ? Something egg shaped a woman can drop off at jiffy lube once a year.
