I was there also , I was in grade 10 . My dad bet 50 on Cathy's reject , Sandy Hawley was riding and we were down from Vancouver. That was my first time at Santa Anita .

I was there that day but I was only 7years old but I remember this race and the video doesn’t do it justice because he was literally 25 back there - My dad bet him - later learn he ran final 6F 1:07:4 and The Shoe never touched him- But then he met Seattle slew
