I had this bike, great pull from 6000 rpm up to red line. Was comfortable to tour with.

I am 67, but never had too many bikes.......multi-cylinder at that. Late in the show, in 1980 I had a Honda 750K. But I rode the GS550 a lot, the CB500-4, the KZ1000, the CBX. When the GS750 came to our country, it was a sensation ! Trinidad & Tobago. West Indies.

I have had many bikes. I loved my GS Suzuki but hands down it wasn't a match for my Kawasaki. I too had a KZ-1000, that was my favorite bike. always wanted a CBX, a friend of mine had one.

I've had Numerous Hondas, 400 supersport was my first. It was mint Canary yellow with 1500 miles on it. My brother moved out, & left it. He showed up about 6 mths later & asked if I wanted to buy it. I jumped! I loved that bike. Young and dumb, going 100+ a car turned in front of me, no helmet, & the last I recall was a blue door....past that I went onto the 750s , I loved them all. The Yamaha secas...A wombat, lol, But I never did own a KZ 1000 , overall my favorite for it's looks. I own an 82 GSX 750E,( I like adding the X as it was called that in the Japanese market) now. It's by far the Best overall bike of that era, I've ever owned. I recall having to stop,(in the 70s-90s)) due to my hands falling asleep, from vibration on the Hondas.... With this bike those days are Lonnnnng gone! Oh yah, I had a cherry red CBX, it was nice, but I didn't care for the way it handled, that rear swingarm wasn't in agreement with me. But nothing matched the sound of it coming & going, like a jet...the GS stock pipes are tame, but it's just so smooth, I never get tired of that. If you ever come across one buy it .. There not that quick or fast enough for a lot of people, & I definitely don't think it's the best looking bike, though I have the burgundy, & it suits me fine. 🙏💕💪✌️🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶 But If you do come across one, At least test ride it.

@@Bellathebear777 in Suzuki numbering the “x” denoted the engine had 4 valves per cylinder - “GS” without the x only 2

I ran a Suzuki franchise from 1977 to 1984 and had the use of any motorcycle and ATV we had in our inventory...ANY & MANY! My 1st...of many...personal demos was a GS750...that I "tricked-out" with a 1/4 fairing/4 into 1 exhaust system...and custom seat. Usually had 3-4 bikes prepped to ride anytime I wanted...both street & dirt. Best job I ever had!

I bought a blue 77 GS750 from a neighbor back in 1995 for $400.00 I rode that bike year round. It was amazing. I laughed when they mentioned the redesigned cam tensioner. I had to use vice grips to keep mine adjusted correctly and running quiet. What a bike though.

I had a '77 GS750 and loved it. I rode it from Perth to Melbourne and back. I did 10,000 kms in two weeks with no problems. An awesome machine that I would be happy to have right now as a great daily ride. Not covered in expensive, complicated plastic crap like a lot of current bikes (I sound old...,) 🤣🤣 Just remembered I had a GS1000S too after that. Great bikes.

Thanks for providing the time travel opportunity. Today there are bicycles with wider tires than this 750 Suzuki. I hope people 45 years from now have as big a laugh at our current fashions.

Great wee film, I never had the GS750 ,but I had the GS400 and the GS550, both great bikes. My workmate had a GS1000, I stupidly went pillion, I have never rode pillion since, he was nuts! I still have a GS500 as a winter hack.

I know that road. It's Azusa canyon s cal. I use to stop right by there, to let the tingle leave my hands on my Honda 750, headed to work... The other spots look like irwindale raceway.. This is a nice restoration....Good job!

Bought this exact bike new in 1977 for $1995 out-the-door. Awesome machine in it's time. Then I went to a '79 GS1000E... (two) GS1150ES...a GSXR1000.. and now I'm on my second GSF1200S Bandit which I've put 172,000 miles on. Best streetbike ever made, (after some light modification). Maybe GSX-S1000GT next?
