"And for an hour or so, just forget your troubles"... you can tell that this took place in the middle of the Winter of Discontent

Ironic how Ted drake talks about his most memorable game in 1933-4 -a game 45 years earlier -and we're watching a Big Match from 45 years ago ! The match Ted described just seemed like ancient history to me back then, but games from the 70's seem like yesterday to me ! No doubt a lot of 18 year olds feel as I did in '79 watching these "ancient" matches !

The City game had everything - orange ball, player' names in multiple colours and sizes - brilliant!

The pain of being a young Chelsea fan back then. First game I ever went to was a 2-2 draw with Wolves. Those pitches were bloody awful.😄

Poor Peter Marinello...not so good at Arsenal, Fulham or my team (Portsmouth) but was better at Motherwell and Hibernian.
