The Olds 305 they put in them were really good engines in them I had 2 fleetwoods with the Olds 305 & it was fantastic

The 1977 through 1979 models all were built with the Cadillac 425ci V8. With optional, electronic fuel injection.

In 86 they put the Olds 307 in, then in about 90 0r 91, they stuck a Chevy 305 in

That is almost the twin of my old Caddy. Loved that car. Except when the late 70s Delco electronics started to fail. I'd buy this car if it was still available.

Oh!, How I miss my gorgeous 1979 Fleetwood Brougham with 425ci EFI and only 54,000 miles. Lost tragically in a flood in 1995.😢 This 78 looks identical to mine. They are fabulous cars to drive. GM no longer builds Cadillacs. Very sad, indeed. I've owned 5 Cadillacs in my life. If only GM still built them😢

The factory 'Color Coated' wheel covers were an elegant and head turning option available on the 1977, 78 and 79 Fleetwood, Eldorado and Seville models. Unfortunately, not many of the surviving ones managed to keep their original factory color coated wheel covers. A surviving mid 70's Cadillac which has it's factory color coated wheel covers still on it is a coveted prize for many Cadillac collectors. It was the mistake of numerous Cadillac buyers to remove and store away the color coated wheel covers in order to preserve them pristine and free of scratches and paint damage, but it always resulted in the wheel covers being a different color than the rest of the car because of paint fading on the car. Most don't realize how much a cars paint color changes over the years and the pristine wheel covers simply did not match the car anymore and looked odd and were replaced with non colored wheel covers and so more often than not, a car with factory color coted wheel covers lost them along the way. If you are a Cadillac collector or just a novice, and have the opportunity to aquire a surviving 1970's Cadillac which has it's original color coated wheel covers still on it... buy it and do not take them off the wheels. It is becoming more and more difficult to find one with it's original color coded wheel cover still on it and still matching the paint color.
