Hey Jack - I've seen several of your truck build vids and I like what you've done. Good job on the filming & edits too.

Thanks, the build is at a bit of a stand still due to busy time of year at work but more to come asap. As for the videos, all I have is an old laptop with windows movie maker and a cheap Sony camera. I wish I had some better equipment because I really enjoy making videos I'm just really limited on how and what I can do. Thanks for watching!

One thing I would do while you are working on the windows is oil the window crank and grease the window roller track. Makes all the difference in the world.

I built 3 motorcycles and a truck (motor). I helped rewire an aircraft with more spaghetti than an Italian Dinner on Saturday night. None of it had been taught and most all of it was seat of the pants... I'm about to tear into an 81 Toyota with rust, wear and tear (It's not a Ford but it works) and some long needed loving care. I ran into your videos and lost the day... Great job Kid! Ya got the same idea I do about your truck... Function before Beauty! I don't think my Toyota will look much like a Toyota when I finally get around to it... If I can stop watching you work on your truck and go work on MINE! >.< Cheers!

Kid? LOL, I'm 33 years old;) but I get it! Thanks for watching!

Yeah, I got kids your age so ... Sawzall died last night after cuttin the muffler off the Toy. Compressor died trying to pull the wheels... I'm off to a good start of an old guy! I better watch some more of your videos!
@samk15848 жыл бұрын
Gene Allgaier you saws all might just need new carbon brushes. Under 5 bucks. Hardest part is finding the right brush set. When you pull the old ones you just look for the wear line. Not a tough fix at all. 5 minutes for most.

Love the videos man! Working on a 78 as well and have been needing to do the same thing with my windows. Thanks for the quick how to, very helpful.

Thanks for watching. This was something I've wanted to do since I got the truck. I cringed every time I closed to door because there was no tracks at all in the drivers door so the window would bounce around in the frame. I always thought I would break the glass closing the door. One more thing off the punch list. More to come!!!

It's funny how two people who have never met can have lives that are so parallel. I mentioned to you before the similarities and now it's starting to be a little weird considering you just got done redoing the kitchen for your wife just as I did a few days ago. Last year she had me put a new roof on the house with the tax money and this year it was a new kitchen. I'm still waiting after 13 years of marriage for my chance to use tax money for something I actually NEED to do, not just WANT, like her wanting a new kitchen. She did bribe me by buying me a new handgun and she promised to go get Arby's whenever I wanted for the duration of the kitchen remodel. Next year I hope to put some tax money into new body parts for my Regular Cab '96 F350 4x4 so I can sell it and buy an old '77-'79 SuperCab or Crew Cab F250 or F350 4x4 so I can finally have a nice classic Ford Pickup that I can fit the whole family in. I have a '78 Bronco that I could do some rust repair on and make into a weekend wheeler/family hauler but I need a bed longer than what the Bronco has and don't want to mess with taking the cap off all the time. I'm sure my wife will think of something else to spend our money on before I get a chance to fix up my truck; even though I've patiently waited for 5 years to start working on it. Oh well, as long as she provides me with a constant supply of Beef 'n Cheddar Sandwiches, coffee, and beef jerky, I'll build her whatever she wants.

A happy wife is a happy life!!! We have lived in our house for 10 years the kitchen was a wreck when we bought it. I promised her I would do her kitchen. Well after 21 days straight working 20 hour days it is done. I want to do the roof on my house too but it can wait a few more years lol. I want this truck done. But with everything in my life, when I have the time I don't have the money, when I have the money, time is no where to be found!!!

glad to see a video on the truck again! Nice kitchen too, that definitely looked like a maximum overhaul lol. I'm about to put new linoleum floor in mine. I say good call on the carb too, I didn't really want to mess with mine when it needed rebuilt because I'd never done it either so I just bought a new Edelbrock and turned a couple screws because funds allowed (at the time). I woulda got it rebuilt at a shop but don't trust anyone around here with anything.. they're all shady money hungry mechanics where I live unfortunately. but yeah man, glad to see the truck again. also - wanted to ask, which pistol do you carry on the hip? I recall seeing it in an earlier truck vid and forgot to ask. Thanks
@RedEyedJack9 жыл бұрын
Hey Logan, thanks for following along. That kitchen was the biggest project like that I've ever done. 21 days straight working 18-20 per day (day job and kitchen). I may end up buying a new carb but we'll see. As for my pistol, I carry every day. You can't find a video without my gun on me. I carry a Gen 4 glock 19 or I carry my full size S&W M&P 9mm. I've carried everyday without exception since I got my c.w.p. five years ago. I refuse to need my gun and not have it. Check out the rest of my channel for gun related videos.

Will do. would like to get my cwp soon. avid hunter with rifles but new to the pistol world. Thanks
@RedEyedJack9 жыл бұрын
Logan W. We can always use one more good guy with a gun. If you do decide to get your permit, make sure you follow that up with some extensive tactical and self defense training. It is a huge responsibility to carry a gun, "act accordingly"!!
@Logster1919 жыл бұрын
RedEyed Jack Yeah, understandable. Better in the hands of a law abiding citizen than in the hands of a criminal. I have the same beliefs that you do, never would I want to be caught in a life or death situation without a gun to protect myself or more importantly my family
