1978 Kawasaki KZ400 Cafe Racer Build Ep. 04 - Fabrication

In this episode I build the shock mounts, install the shocks, start on the exhaust and get the seat mounts in. Getting closer to being done with fabrication and welding and getting to the point where I can start taking everything apart for powder coat, paint and final assembly.

How do you remove the exhaust? I had to watch it on low volume I’ll watch again if you mentioned it in the video, but it looks hard if you have to remove it

I didn't mention it. But it comes off like any other exhaust. The tab that holds the two pipes together in the back are separate and they fit between the frame and everything without much wiggle room or having to remove anything.

@@civilcustoms8605 The right hand one is easy to find on ebay, the left hand not so much. that's the one I need. I don't know where you're at with your business plans, or if this is just a hobby, but I'll be in okc this weekend vending at an exotic pet expo, prolly 3 to 5k in attendance, if you wanted to pass out business cards, or if you are already doing custom orders it'd be great exposure for ya. I'm pretty sure the owner would be cool with you and your bikes being near the entrance, I could make sure before hand. Really any festival that gave you real estate. As far as the cover goes, however ya wanna do it, . I'll pick up, ( I got a buddy that lives in fort smith) put up a facebook marketplace and ship it, ebay, whatever works for you..
