Donnelly and Randall would put today's hard men well in their place.

Yep. Agreed. They were the definition of hard men!!

Can't use the term "today's hard men" in the same sentence as "Donnelly and Randall". . .

8:30, Dorahy gives a solid punch to the balls of Alan Thomson. Ouch! No wonder Thomo couldn't get up

I remember reports after the game suggesting that the Dorahy dropped bomb would cost him a kangaroo spot.

Wests had 2 tries disallowed, which could have turned the game -it would have been great climax to the season if these teams made the 1978 Grand Final

Seriously the biggest bunch of cry babies in existence. Had a massive cry in 1963 when they couldn’t beat St George. Concocted a ridiculous story about the referee backing St George. Didn’t bother tackling Johnny King who got up and ran away to score. 1978 - minor premiers who went out the back door in straight sets. They claimed they were the most feared team in Sydney. Where were they when it counted? Did nothing as a club after this season. Rightly punted at the end of the century.

@@eagleeric2598 can't say I blame him going hard on West's. Roy Masters started all this hatred of Manly with his silvertails rubbish. I notice the skid marks are still at Lidcombe where Masters couldn't get out quick enough after St George gave him a blank cheque. Same with raudonikus.
