I remember this game like it was yesterday. I was in 9th grade and watched the game with my Dad. My Dad grew up in Brooklyn and was a die hard Brooklyn Dodgers fan in the Forties and Fifties. When Welch finally struck out Reggie my Dad cheered and almost hit the ceiling. This from a guy who said he gave up on Baseball when the Dodgers left Brooklyn after the 1957 season. I guess he still had love for the Dodgers.

I was at this game. I was 17 at the time. I was sitting right past first base in the field box seats. That ending will always be with me.

Went to this game as a nine year old with my father. Sat in the first row of the blue reserved section along the first baseline. Didn't realize the enormity of Bob Welch striking out Reggie Jackson until years later. I still have the ticket stubs from this game..

As a 13 year-old Minnesota kid I got hooked on the Dodgers because of a Steve Garvey baseball card.(long story). Good to hear Silent Walter Alston talk. Very rare.

I was at this game. The day after my 10th birthday. Someone poured beer on my head. As a young Red Sox fan it was a great present. Only time I ever root for the Dodgers is when they play the Wankees...

It’s weird to think the Dodgers had only left Brooklyn like 20 years earlier.
