1978 Yamaha DT175 - After the trails

After a few weekends of riding, its time to clean up and do some general service on the DT175.

great video man! I should do my fork oil and seals too. Also need the stock carb....previous owner mounted a VM28 onto it and jetting is all off it seems.

Fork seals...get a seal puller if you don't have one. They are a must. Hooks on both ends...they look like a flat hammer lol! Just pull a little at a time, keep circling and lifting. I put a cloth around the perimeter to help minimize marring the soft metal lip of the fork as I lift the seal with the puller.

Just got my first bike and its a 81 DT175. Among your suggestion here, anything else you'd recommend to get it start up first kick or two? Mine seems to take quite a few kicks to get going?

Pro Honda HP 80W/85W Trans oil

Where did you get a stock style air filter? I have one just like yours but the air filter is falling apart.

I know its a Yamaha, but I use that red bottle of Honda Pro oil (80W/85W i think it is)
