Back when AmEx was a little special. They had AmEx offices and cashiers checks too. They weren't a revolving CC, balance due every month. Kind of shows where we have evolved to as a society

I've had an American Express card for 39 years. People STILL don't know who I am. 🤔 But, hotel clerks talk nicely to me. ✈🏢💸

thanks for posting this! I remember and got a kick out of “Are you Miss Wade…really?!” I’d love to see the one with Sen. Sam Ervin who called himself a plain ol’ country lawyah.

I think Sir Edmund Hillary sort of admitted that it was Tenzing Norgay , the sherpa with him , who actually was the first to reach the summit but of course it was not presented that way to the world

I did the commercial with Stephen King. "Shill" is kind of pejorative.

@@BaarBear Here is a definition of "shill": "an accomplice of a hawker, gambler, or swindler who acts as an enthusiastic customer to entice or encourage others." It is usually used in a negative sense. Perhaps you weren't aware of that.

Luciano Pavorotti was thin! 2:44 did that puberty going through crackly voiced kid need his father to cosign for his American Express card application? and James F. Fixx died of a heart attack while jogging at 52 years of age. He wasted so much time doing that boring stuff. 🤣

Steve Cauthen earned 6 million at 17 and the Triple Crown at 18. I had to think about it for a second but I got him before the name showed. Gunther Gebel-Williams was the only one I couldn't guess but I had heard of him. Virginia Wade looked nice.
