1979: BILLY CONNOLLY - A Portrait by ALEXANDER GOUDIE | Portrait | Comedy Greats | BBC Archive 16.11.24 0855am bob geldof and billy Connolly, to name but a few, are leg-ends in their own bathtime. if he's not waffling and telling you an observation he's having his (portrait) picture painted. how living it to the limit have these guys been? get yerself to edinburgh to get drunk... i doubt that kidda sentiment will be appreciated nowadays, by the council or tourist info booth, but i kindda feel: yeah... probably the only aspect of Scotland that is worth the while - when they aint corking the wine.... he's about the same age as my mum and i fhe was to do another stand up (sit down) routine it'd be inth style of an old aged pensioner harping on about the irks old aged pensioners have - with the odd eff and munt thrown in for good measure.... which might be fun...
