Three people, each one successful in different fields genuinely enjoying each other and entertaining the audience. Nothing like it on TV today.

Brilliant. What a great mixture. Billy Connolly is just so naturally funny and interesting. David Attenborough has a great sense of humour and has done so much in the animal world. He was clearly enjoying Billy's chat. Thanks so much for uploading this.

Hi Bill wife and I have passed you on the Stuwarth highway to Alice Springs, Australia in the 1980s, you were talking on the radio that you just have seen a man flogging a cross on his back like Jesus Christ. We have seen him at Ullaroo Area that day. We were towing a caravan around to opal fields of S A, Qld, and NSW at the time researching for our opal book Rediscover Opals In Australia, 1999.

I had not heard the story about the Jaguar. And it's so true. I did it myself, one morning I was late to work, and there ahead of me was some posh bastard in a Jag, I put my foot down and managed to pass that Jaguar in my clapped out VW Beetle....it was such a great feeling.

Clive was a great interviewer. He had the gift of firing a, uh, kind of trigger question that would start the guest off. Then Clive would generally sit back and let his guest talk. This was what Michael Parkinson did sublimely well. Parkinson was probably the best ever interviewer, but Clive was a close second.
