It is in great shape for that many miles I like the build / option sticker under the hood I noticed it shows that it has HD front and rear springs is why it sits up high

Nice! I have a similar '79 long bed I bought from father who ordered it new. It's two-tone also, but with quad lights and an Adventurer and Prospector pkgs. I honestly like this engine/trans combo better. Mine has 225 slant six and optional 727 auto.

is it a D200 which is a 3/4 ton truck or a D100 which is a 1/2 ton truck? the 4-spd manual is a great heavy duty trans, not the most fun tranny is sub/urban traffic but will last hundreds of thousands of miles.

To me I always like that body style..all the way up to 1989...don't get me wrong the newer dodge rams are really nice too...but for some reason the older bodystil for the dodge truck is beautiful...

I'd say it a work horse Long wheel base trucks rides Like a caddy tho I'd know there cheaper than The short wheel base truck And all I could afford back in my Late teens and mid 20' I've even got a long wheels base trck for 160. bucks short wheel base truck for 190. Thanks for sharing

The horsepower numbers were pretty dismal in the late 70's. I think it was rated at around 145 HP with the 2 BBL, though I'm sure it still has decent torque. Thanks for taking a look Tom, I appreciate it my friend!
