I had this same car when I was 20 years old. Drove the wheels off her. Took it from Iowa to Miami and then to Phoenix and back going 90MPH at times. Finally crunched it in a parking lot. - Good Times!

My first car at 17. Bought it off my brother. Surprisingly fast car, since it was so light. SO easy to parallel park. One time another car squeezed me in pretty tight while I was parked against a curb. Two guys walking by saw my predicament and helped lift the car out of the spot and into the street. Was decent on gas and VERY easy to work on. First time ever replacing a carburetor. The back seat was super tight but functional. LOVED this car.

I remember this generation Honda Civic. Sweet looking car. It's nice to see a 40 yr old car (or pretty close) in nice original, unmolested condition. :)

My first car in 1974 was a 1974 Honda Civic hatchback. White with black interior. Watching this video took me back to that time of my life - a high school senior. What an amazing time capsule car this is! I sold mine in 1980 for what I paid for it and bought a 1980 Accord LX hatchback. The Accord was a luxury car compared to the Civic! My Civic had the 1200cc non-CVCC engine. The body and interior were much like this one but there are differences like the hood, bumpers taillights etc. I think 1980 introduced the 2nd gen. Civic.

Quitokid i’ve paid about usd$1300 for it..running condition, untouched..all original including the original seats...though it has some minor rusts around the lower parts of the body, other than that it’s ok n fixable...condition i would say 6.5/10...mine was yellow but originally was a red (coz engine bay still has some red paint) n the yellow wasnt been paint in a good way...

79 cvcc. biggest pile of pure absolute garbage!!!! my uncle bought me a wagon in 83 so the 79 was pretty new. carb went out right away. 400 bucks later, it didnt want to start at 5 below zero. at 10 above zero, it barley started. 3 months, needed a full engine overhaul. just after the carb warranty expired, carb went out again. 450 bucks now. drove it when i could start it in a colder climate. brakes went out. ok. brakes i dont mind. 3 months later, the timing skipped and all it did was crank. i traded it in for a 73 opal manta. the manta was one of the most reliable cars i ever had. i could fix anything on it. i hope others have had better luck than i did with the cvcc
