This was My husbands car all the way from NSW Australia, 👌 He loved it. He fitted the stickers himself. Amazing to see it on KZbin. He was sad to part with it, but sadly he didn’t have time for it. He bought it from the original owners family who very rarely drove it.

I saw one of these civics in a junkyard. The body was mint and paint was also. Seats inside were Missing but everything was there. I asked the guys from the junkyard if they would sell it to me but, they said no. I was pissed.

Leave the wheels and stickers on it, interesting classic vehicles have stories of there own, they might have been importer fitted options, was common back then, like the Mitsubishi l200 ute sport special.....it had sport stickers

I was thinking on similar lines there. It could be the only one in the World with those added extras or special edition bits and pieces.

It's just like London villain, Dave Courtney. He was given a matching pair of Purdey shotguns. He sawed off the barrels, but later found out the true value of them (What they were worth before he tampered with them). It was too late, he ruined them forever!!

I don't usually like fancy wheels and body stripes but on that nice old Civic they all look really good, if it was mine I would keep them. Also I dare say the paint under the stripes will be a different colour from the body.

If you remove those stripes the car will have to repainted down both sides because you will have "ghosting" where the decals were. The original paint will have oxidized where the paint under the stickers won't. Be a disaster. Leave it as it is. It's a lovely little thing.

Hi Stavros from Australia. I wanted to say that yes, it does get hot here from time to time but if it is hot enough for the wood panel to peel off then you would see other heat damage elsewhere on the dash and upholstery and it looks mint to be honest. I think it wasn't there to begin with and perhaps the original driver didn't like them and got them taken off. Best of luck with it, they were very popular here although you never wanted to get stuck behind them because they had a tendency to smell bad.

I owned a 78 and 79 Civic which are long gone but currently have a 77 restored. I was surprised you have the washer fluid in the bag, that was on 73 to 77 civics. 78 / 79 civics have a standard reservoir on the opposite side. My 77 had the bag but I decided I liked the bottle better so I used the bottle and put the bag in storage. I have an extra set of 12" rims in Toronto, Canada if you need them. I am almost ready to scrap them since nobody needs them anymore. Leave the decals, I believe they were an option

As an Aussie, I wish you best of luck getting an original registration certificate from 1979. Registration certificates don’t prove ownership here (in QLD at least) so are usually discarded each year once the new one is reissued when Registration is renewed. Registration certificates are not needed to sell a car or to reregister an unregistered car so are not normally kept. AFAIK QLD transport don’t keep these records either. Hopefully you can sort it stavros, she looks like a beaut.

1st generation "civic", not a 1st generation Honda car. The very first production Honda car in the U.S. market was in 1971 and was sold in two configurations. The 600 sedan and the 600 coupe. Both models were powered by a air cooled 600cc engine and had a 4 speed manual transmission. It boasted 72 mpg or 30.6 km/l. My mother was actually the first person to purchase one in the U.S.

Good morning Mr. Stavros I have a question of what is meant by the UK, England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, and Northern Ireland. I got confused with it because some organizations or people used to refer to a single country name by so many parts. Can you make a video on it for clarification? Please it's my humble request.
