Seeing Edd make my eyes tear. Ant is good, but Edd was something else. I really miss him.

I owned on of those-yellow, CVCC, 5-speed and 1976. I got it used for $2500. It was a delight to drive and park. Amazing that it now sells for over $14,000. Alas, the engine block cracked and I had to let it go. Glad to see one of them brought back to life. They are a classic.

just watched the full episode on Quest here in the UK, first I've seen of series 13. you can clearly see how Edd has been sidelined in what is now effectively the Mike Brewer Show (is this the real cause of the falling out?). Mike doing mechanical work too, really??? those responsible for Wheeler Dealers miss the fact that car traders are 10-a-penny, guys like Edd are a lucky find. I've got nothing against Mike, I enjoyed his Trading Up series but like the majority, I'm a huge fan of Edd and he's the reason why I got hooked on Wheeler Dealers. Edd is the real star
@peterryan78273 жыл бұрын
I don,t think mike brewer fully realized what he had in edd, it was all very sad for us real fans when it all went wrong for the pair's relationship, there must be many thousands of us out there would love to see edd back on tv ,and not just all the wonderful repeats.

I like this show so much. Loved Edd, miss him. Like Ant, he's so hot, but Edd was more fun because of his crumudgeon attitude and in-depth knowledge. Ant is equally as talented, but he doesn't get the time Edd did to dive deep into the nuts and bolts of what's going on. Great show.
@McRocket6 жыл бұрын
3:19 this is just another thing I liked about Edd's fixes...he seemed to always try and think ahead and not just make the car look/perform nice in the short term.

Martin H - it depends who he thinks Mike will sell the car to. If it is to collectors..then he should not cut the hole. If it is to people who just want to drive the thing (which is usually the case on Wheeler Dealers) - I say, go ahead Edd. But my point was that Edd often (used to) did things like that...go above and beyond to make sure the cars/trucks will last. I will say I was wondering about that hole(s) that Edd made when Honda bought the car for it's collection.
@ASVESTAS236 жыл бұрын
Honeslty, what do you think collectors including companies do to keep their cars in as perfect condition as possible? Rust is always going to threaten theIr cars and there is no other way you can handle this. You cannot replace a door if simply does not exist in like new condition, so you fix it.

Eventually, rust was the end of it. Honda: rediscover your roots,build basic dependable cars again minus the glitz

Why does Mike have to slam the door of ever bloody car he gets in and out of. Likewise, he doesn't sit in a car, he throws himself in. Does he think it makes him look macho or cool? It's like watching a tame gorilla. Funny how Mike's name wasn't mentioned as an option for BBC Top Gear after the Fab Three departed.
