I got one collector series 79 400 it has plenty of power for a big car the most popular year for all continental Mark's was 79 because every one knew the 1980 mark6 was a smaller version 302 v8 it was fine but not as glamorous as the mark 5

いいね👍マークV過去に乗って ました、最初はこのサイズの優越感にすっかりやられて購入して1週間でEgブロックからピストンが飛び出て廃車2台目は2年位乗ってたかなモジュールのパンクに悩まされましまね、手放す頃にモジュールの価格が安価になって買い取り価格も凄く安く今さら後悔してますね、あれからもう30数年たちますが今だにアメ車オーナーです❗あの頃のキャスパーまだあるのかな？2万で買い取り120万で出品凄いよね、アメ車のわからない魅力にまだとりつかれています。

For some reason there seems to be more 79 Lincolns around for sale than 78's. I know for a fact the 78's are more desirable than the 79's cause 78 was the last year of the 460 big block engine that has more power than the lowly 400. Sure both were smoked to death, but there is a difference! The 400 had a two brl carb with under 200 hp and 350 ft lbs tq. While the 460 had a four brl carb that had 240 hp and 450 ft lbs tq. That is a big difference! My father God rest his Soul had new Lincoln Town Cars, a 1971 and 1975, the 71 by far was more powerful with a Four brl card and dual exhaust. Then he bought a really nice baby blue inside and out with leather 78 Town Car! He used to tow a 30' travel trailer back and forth from Mass to Fla when he retired e try winter for ten years! Before they finally bought a bigger park model double wide trailer in a nice place called Ramblers Rest. The first two, the 71 and 75 went to his brother in law who was the sales manager of the trucking co the family owned, he drove those two cars over 200 miles a day for a few years each to total over 300,000 miles trouble free in the 71 and well over 200,000 on the 75! All trouble free! The 78 my dad kept lasted till he sold it in 2000, with just over 200,000 hard towing and miles under my foot! Those 460 engines were amazing! The only problems they did have were the EGR valve in the base plate of the carb that my dads mechanic was able to take out and the cars ran better than ever! Plus we put dual exhaust on the 75 and 78.

Bohemia Lite it's a grease pencil mark code for the assembly line workers I don't know what this particular one means but it tells them what parts options are on the vehicle

She has auto lights, climate control , power windows, power seats, miles to empty, power trunk release, power antenna, tilt, cruise, auto dimming lights. Only thing missing is the moonroof. Come on..

Too bad it had the 400-2v. The year before had the 460-4v. World of a difference!!! B. U. T. FUL ROAD SLED, YOU CAN DRIVE ALL DAY LONG @ 75mph, do a rest stop,& drive the rest of the day. Enjoy it!!!
