This panoramic panning was made in 1979 from the observation deck of the Empire State Building in the New York borough of Manhattan. The skyscraper, which was built in just two years (1930/1931), has a structural height of 381 meters. It is 443 meters to the top of the antenna. The Empire State Building is located on the southern edge of Midtown Manhattan on Fifth Avenue between 33rd and 34th Streets in the southern part of Manhattan Island, which is surrounded by the Hudson and East Rivers. Its address is 350 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10118.
Unfortunately, New York City was overcast on that day. Still, some good shots get there. You can see the most important buildings in the immediate vicinity of the Empire State Building. Other landmarks include the Chrysler Building, Madison Square Garden, Macy's department store on Herald Square, the main building of the United Nations (UN). Every now and then, the filmmaker zooms into the canyons of Manhattan in order to better capture the hectic hustle and bustle and the dense traffic on the streets.

Der in nur zwei Jahren (1930/1931) gebaute Wolkenkratzer hat eine strukturelle Höhe von 381 Metern. Bis zur Antennenspitze sind es 443 Meter. Das Empire State Building befindet sich am südlichen Rand des Stadtteils Midtown Manhattan an der Fifth Avenue zwischen der 33. und 34.
