They may have gotten 77 scoop, they were only 1 1/2 inches tall compared to the 78 and onwards 2 inches tall

If it is factory, it would be a 400 Pontiac as that's what came with the 4 speed.

​@@jasoncallaway726 The 301 was also available with the 4-speed in 79 and it even got a special camshaft compared to the automatic along with a $195 credit back in your pocket. Since he never mentions what engine it has the shaker looks the way it does it might be a 301.

@thud9797 yeah, I forgot about that. Just like I was recently looking at TAs and remembered the 305/4-Speed deal when I found a project TA. Better memory 50 years and 50 million beers ago.

Pretty sure the speedometer didn’t go to 160 mph on a 79, on my 78 t/a it only went to 100 , but I could be wrong

No, you are correct, this speedo has been changed to pre-1975.

400 4 speed car.only 8800 cars in 79 got that.half were anniversary cars.
