Matt Suhey was one of my favorite Bears players during the '80s. It is great to see him during his college days. Thanks for the upload!

Wow! Al Michaels is a kid. This broadcast was just a few months before the "Miracle on Ice" which made him famous.

First #Huskers game I ever attended. My brother, who was in college then, snuck me in at halftime. Now I’ve been to over 100 games at Memorial Stadium.

A microphone on the refs was a new experiment (as well as a clock in the endzone). How far we have come! About 1:40:00 in.

I like the skinny script fonts in the end zones, not the fat letter fonts of today...

Nebraska usually beat the hell out of Penn State. Do you have the 1976 Nebraska-Oklahoma State or Colorado games?
@gregoryfreeman22698 жыл бұрын
N.U. did lose to PSU in '81 & (with the help of the officials) in '82, but they "beat the hell out of" a lot of teams back then (1970s-1990s). Just ask Colorado/Kansas/K-State/Mizzou, etc. OU was the only outfit they had trouble with, though. I.M. Hipp & Jarvis Redwine!

@@gregoryfreeman2269 Actually FSU was quite a bit of a thorn in their side too. As was Miami but I cut them some slack on that cause they always played em in the Orange bowl, not exactly a neutral site.
@rooh58259 ай бұрын
@@rawn4203 Miami and Nebraska are 6-6 all time. Not really a thorn the same way as FSU.
@rawn42039 ай бұрын
@@rooh5825 But Miami won 2 NC's at the expense of Neb. I'd call that a thorn still. Neb did win a shared one at Miami's cost in 95, thats tru.
@rooh58259 ай бұрын
@@rawn4203 It might say "shared" but Nebraska would have beaten Michigan by 14, said the oddsmakers at the time.

Penn State goes up 14-0 and then gets crushed the rest of the way.
