This game was well ahead of its time in having a huge matchup at a neutral site to begin the season. It's nice to see that Osborne and Paterno seemed to have a pretty good relationship. Also youngish Lee Corso.

@@FlintyCobblestone ... That was BS officiating towards the end of that game and that BOGUS TD was a trapped ball... Todd Blackledge had lit up the Nebraska secondary the whole game and he didn't need help on that last drive from the referees.

They played from 1979-1982 and the ONLY game that had the questionable BS was this one on that last drive starting with the kickoff and that's the truth of the matter Congratulations to PSU on the win at home ... I was glad that they paired both teams in that inaugural Kickoff Classic where the Huskers could let off some steam and did they ever that night.
