The entire 70s Steelers team needs to be in HOF. They were all great!

They had exceptional starters not everyone is hall of fame caliber they had back ups that would start for most if the other NFL teams that's what made them the team of 70s there exceptional depth and the 9 hall of farmers they did have

Its amazing that john riggins is in the hall of fame as one of the greatest ever and yet they wasted the majority of his career as a FB blocking for less quality backs

Yeah that was George Allen. Great defensive coach but not intelligent enough to realize what he had. And he wanted Riggins.

It wasn't the Redskins day, but it wasn't a surprise going up against the team of the decade. The Redskins did have some foundation pieces in place for what would become a powerhouse team in the 80's.
@SillyGoose20243 ай бұрын
Not really. They only won two titles in the 80s, both of them in strike shortened seasons when the nfl was messed up. One of those years was only about a half season. A real powerhouse was Pitt winning 4 titles in the 70s ...all in regular length seasons

Except for Starke, no other Hog there yet.
@KevinT72742 ай бұрын
@@SillyGoose2024 They still count, plus the Redskins made another SB and NFCCG. Only team that was better during the 80's was the 49ers.

Hank Stram was a very underrated commentator! He worked well with both Curt Gowdy and Vin Scully!

Curt Gowdy was always NBC. He’s going a CBS game here? Interesting.
@vidstrick50904 ай бұрын
Per Wikipedia, NBC and CBS did a trade with Gowdy for Don Criqui (sp?). So Gowdy did games for CBS for two years.
