In the early twentieth century the General Assembly passed several motions of an anti-Irish-Catholic nature. Fortunately, things have moved on since then. Listening to some of these people talking in 1980 seems like listening to people from pre-historic times. It's amazing what a difference 44 years makes.

I am the grandson of an Irish immigrant, was brought up in a Celtic family,but I have supported Falkirk FC since 1978 home and away but my dad wasn't a football fan but obviously knew I would safer...I look up to the heavens and say thank you dad x COYB

My dad was physiotherapist at Rangers ....as a 12year old child I was shot by an air rifle in 1982 ....still waiting on the police finding the person who nearly killed me . Bigots shouldn't shoot children ....I'm 54 now and it still haunts me to this day as I write .

No problem with Wilson being so strong in his views about various bodies asking lots of questions on Rangers’ player signing policy. But strangely he doesn’t seem to be asking such questions himself about the decades of abuse of boys at the club he’s a Director of. Interesting that.
