I agree! Even 30+ years of little maintenance can’t hide the beauty of this fan lol.

@@TheSuperFanMan why does it have a number 12 bedside the off button
@Daconthocon784 жыл бұрын
I have multiple rebadged lasko desk fans from this time and they are still quiet. My dad ended up getting a blue galaxy desk fan from the owner who thought it was broken, but the blades were moving slow when I plugged it at home.
@TheSuperFanMan4 жыл бұрын
I have a handful of these Lasko fans as well. They were heavily inspired by Japanese fans, particularly Sanyo. I believe Lasko even used Sanyo parts in the early 70s when they began producing plastic oscillating fans. This is probably the reason why these are such quiet runners and last a long time.
@solomonburgess81964 жыл бұрын
That’s a very nice super Oscillation desk fan or you can use it on a nightstand office dresser shelf table.

They likely took a fall off a table and the impact broke the tabs. I see fans like these from time to time.

@@TheSuperFanMan oh yeah this is what confuses me, I have the clip version that’s a six inch and it appears that it’s the same size, so now I’m not sure whether it’s a six inch or seven inch
@TheSuperFanMan4 жыл бұрын
The six and seven inch fans are exactly the same dimension-wise, so they have the same motor, same grille size, same parts etc. The only difference is the blade size.
@FC70YT4 жыл бұрын
@@TheSuperFanMan and the grille, because the one you have has a metal ring and my does not

Yes that’s right. The ring is an extra reinforcement.

"G16FC" knowing how to date Lasko products, Id say that's an '81 model.
@TheSuperFanMan3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info! How do you decipher the code to find the date? Would love to know.
@ThatTexanCollector3 жыл бұрын
@@TheSuperFanMan So on Lasko made Fans, (Lasko/Galaxy/Panasonic/Dayton/Super) they have a 5-digit number ink-printed on the bottom of the base, and the first numerical digit (the number after the letter in this case) signifies the second digit of the year, and based off the styling of the fan deciphers if its 70's/80's/90's etc. say for example, my 80's 12" Galaxy fan, its an '82 model. the number starts with "2xxxx" and it includes 80's styling so therefore, "1982". And this works on Lasko products only. The more you know!
