Good video SuperFanMan i enjoyed it and i like the faint startup sound it has once the rattle is fixed then you can hear it .

Thanks Lemont! That's one thing I like about these late-90s Super fans. Despite the motors looking nearly identical to the earlier models, they tend to have a more pronounced start-up sound and hum when it runs.

@@TheSuperFanMan your welcome and yes both of those are my favorite startup sounds and hum

I see these on ads for sale during visits in Canada with the knob on the back model, I wish there's one with blue blades model 12 kd but that seems super hard to find.
@TheSuperFanMan22 күн бұрын
Yeah the dark blue bladed SMC Supers are definitely harder to come by. I think they were produced in relatively small numbers in the early 90s. But certainly not impossible to find!

@@TheSuperFanMan That model with blue blades I saw featured on KZbin by another Canadian fan collector.

The grills rattling seems to be quite common on these fans (especially if they're missing the screw at the top like that one is). Looks like it doesn't need much work as well
@TheSuperFanMan22 күн бұрын
Very much so. I often see these fans without the screw, either because the first owner never installed it or took it off to clean the fan at some point and didn't put it back. I think I have a small quantity of spare screws that I can use for this fan.

where do you find these super fans?

Just about anywhere imaginable! The Super fans I own have come from friends, family, schools, trash, local buy/sell sites, thrift stores and yard sales!

Awfully quiet this thing is.SMC did a good job making these fans

I absolutely agree. These were among the best economy fans ever sold in my opinion, and the cool thing is that these were sold all over the world, though with different brand names. Simple, tough and reliable, with solid performance and minimal noise. Not to mention how easy it is to clean and oil. Only the best traits!

should of gotten it, chance of them getting rid of it is high

If it's still there, definitely see if you can ask the store manager about it! There's a chance they might let you have it. It never hurts to ask. I've gotten quite a few fans simply by asking :)

These occasionally pop up on eBay, and I'm sure some sellers would ship them internationally. I'd keep an eye on eBay
