Don't see why not. The 368 in this car is the same engine. Just not as big on the bore size. Will probably bolt right up. I am not sure about any differences between the 77-79 frames as compared to the 80 to 91 however. My guess is there will be no problem.

Yeah because I know there was a lot of problems with their engine. I had it running yesterday then it runs really rough and then just dies out

@@robertmathy9467 i had some issues like that with the 368 in this car. In retrospect, I truly believe I had trash in the fuel tank. Also one other issue that GM cars from the 70s and 80s are bad about is carbon build up on the valve stems. The EGR systems cause this. It will make the cars very hard to tune and troubleshoot. Pull the TBI off and run a bore scope down one of the intake runners.

If you have one with the V8-6-4, there is a way to disable that system, which can make it run smoother.
