Great video. Happy memories. Was chase car for car 27 Peter Ripley / Ian North. Remember Dere Street debacle. Cars stopped coming through just before our car was due out the stage. That was it for an hour. Russell Brookes came out with a front left puncture. Service crew was waiting for him. Were working in the dark, so shone them some light.

1st stage was Lambton Park at night, Pentti on racing tyres just as it started snowing was a sight to behold around the safari park (north east version of Knowsley) then they went up to Otterburn ranges where he took the lead he held for the rest of the rally. Otterburn during the day made Eypnt look like a walk in the park, but at night something else.
