Players that would be centers in the 80s and should be now: Garnett, Duncan, amare, Monroe, Drummond, boogie, Elton brand, horford, Aldridge, al Jefferson, both gasols, unibrow, Dirk, bosh, basically anyone that's 6'10 or above or if they had a legit inside dominance to em

In the Eastern Conference finals (which was the better series) the Celtics had to deal with Dawkins in the middle and against Houston they had Moses Malone. Two of the top physical centers in NBA history. Maxwell's role on the team changed over the next few years to more of a defensive player. That shows you how deep the Celtics were during the 80s.

Bird robbed of the Finals MVP that year. Should be retroactively changed.

IDK, Cornbread Maxwell tackling that old man in the stands during the Philly ECF series was pretty epic. I know that wasn't in the finals but he should at least get a trophy for that move!

+Darkzz Lord if Jesus Christ isn't your Lord you are going to sadly lament it someday unless you repent in time by taking it back. The wicked unrepentant and other disbelievers unfortunately end up in the lake of fire and brimstone. which it is hell. the second death. there is no rest there at all. it is horrible torment there for all eternity. Lord Jesus Christ is the only one that can save us from ending up there. We got to willingly accept Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior and repent from our sins in His name. While we still can before we pass away. After we pass away we can't change our decision.

I did not see Houston with any chance to win they did not seem that good as a team. Robert Reed, Billy Paulz, Henderson... A rag tag bunch... Malone, however! Gritty, but that is not going to work against this Celtic team. I watched a little bit but lost interest. Whoever plays the Nuggets it will be a game like this. Yawn.

The celtics were just just all Bird, maxwell and Tiny. Parish was just a new addition and was just regaining his inspiration abck, before that he was uninspired and lazy. mchale was a rookie and was just used as substitute.

@cindyknudson27152 ай бұрын
Not really. Every team knew that Bird was going to stay in college for his senior year and graduate. Most teams couldn't afford to pick a player that wouldn't help them immediately. The Celtics had the 6th pick in the first round and took the gamble. Bird could just as easily been the first pick if he wasn't staying at ISU. I think it was a phenomenal decision on his part.
