Holy freaking crap! You can tell he slowed down after the 84 season. Those injuries….just think if wasn’t plagued with injuries just how far he could have went? Even with them he still put up crazy stats.

I honestly think bird would have seriously given Michael Jordan a run for his money as the goat if it wasn't for the injuries. Bird was basically Kevin Durant, but a better rebounder and passer

Most pundits think athletic is how high can a player jump. Bird was athletic in having the quickest ever mind/body reactions in addition he had a 30 inch vertical, could easily dunk two handed and, after watching numerous full Bird games, I've never seen him run down from behind. Not even Hakeem Olajuwon could catch Bird.

It seems nobody understands Bill Russell. Russell set Every playoff rebound record; in one finals 7 game series, Russell averaged 29.5 rebounds per game. Also in every playoff series Celtics opponents had lower shooting percentages than against other playoff teams. In 7 playoff series, Russell even held Chamberlain well below his usual shooting percentage.
