Thommo, in his twighlight years by this stage, but still bowled a lot of extremely rapid deliveries. Magnificent bowler, along with Frank Tyson, the fastest bowler ever to play the game

Thanks Rhett. This test was a couple of weeks before I was born. It’s nice to wonder what my son would think what sport I was watching just before he was born.

15.10 David Gower being David Gower again! Great player but he was infuriating to watch sometimes..

Thommo was definitely slower by this time. No way would Botham have hooked him while wearing a floppy hat if it was the '76 version of Thommo.

Erm... did anyone at Peters know what "Afternoon Delight" is about? (that makes it two creepy ads in a row)

That Norman Cowans dismissal was a dreadful decision!

The Toowoomba Clydesdale. What a terrific bowler Carl was,but it was Henry's innings. Gee...how stiff was Cowans? Wessels and Hookesy....what an opening pair that would have made.

If Norman Cowans had been better managed by his captain, Bob Willis, during this tour, he would, i think, have gone on to a stellar test match career. As it was, he didn't play another test after the age of 25. Such a waste.
