I owned a 1969, always liked the body tweaks of early 80s. I own a 1990 ZR-1 now and it's still "King of the Hill", I like all gens of corvette, it's so cool to see these old commercials, I graduated in 1980, was driving a 68 firebird with a 468 BBC, 4 speed, tunnel ram with two 780 cfm Holley carbs. My son drives a C7. Z06, we are planning a cruise on the dragons tail soon. Nice work👍👍🏁🏁

Damn. People are just that ignorant. This was one of the most if not the most powerful american car produced in 1982. I don't know why people say stupid comments about 80's cars having too low horsepower when they were fast enough for their time. This car in it's stock form could probably outrun most any other 82 anything. Trying to compare these to modern vettes is just stupid. It's like comparing this 82 to a 53 corvette.
@rapid134 ай бұрын
It’s because early C3s and most C2s would leave it for dead. The EPA neutered everyone, but the Vette got the worst of it. So yeah, it deserves the derision it receives, but it’s not GMs fault.

@@daytonfl6859 Like any car.....it depends on the condition when you get it and how far you want to go with it. If it's nice.....it's cheaper than if it's been abused. A new paint job, engine & trans rebuild, interior redone can run into lots of money unless you can do some of it yourself.

Hummm... I've owned an 82 since 2007 and it's been pretty far from reliable, mainly because it eats batteries. Some sort of battery drain and I've taken it to a bunch of mechanics and they have yet to figure out what is happening. That and it just goes out of tune by itself. Obviously some sort of electrical problem somewhere, but I haven't been able to pin down what it is or where. But, with that said, it's an awesome car - and gets an amazing amount of attention.
