@@JP-kp9kh Cancel culture isn't the biggest problem. Complete suppression of the truth and hypocrisy accepted like programmed robots as the Human norm in the World is the biggest problem. The media controllers trying today to make funny or forcing to be funny of garbage that will be quickly forgotten 10 years in the future while stuff 25 or more years ago that still is and will be funny 50 years from now as the day it first aired on TV. There is actually a lot of hypocritical forms of political correctness or censorship of content, etc from both the left and the right ideology sides. In fact both have created debating religious cult like myths against each other. The "grammar nazis" are among the biggest hypocrite abusers of the freedom of content, tolerance and open speech. Political Correctness Can Lead to an Orwellian Nightmare - British comedian Monty Python and Fawlty Towers alum John Cleese. Canada also has the same obsession with euphemisms and soft words since the 1980's. To those calling George Carlin a leftist comedian the funny thing is he also hated the hypocrisy of the extreme left equally as much as he did of the extreme right. “The habits of liberals, their automatic language, their knee-jerk responses to certain issues, deserved the epithets the right wing stuck them with. I'd see how true they often were. Here they were, banding together in packs, so I could predict what they were going to say about some event or conflict and it wasn't even out of their mouths yet. I was very uncomfortable with that. Liberal orthodoxy was as repugnant to me as conservative orthodoxy.”

It's that last one that protects comedians, as noone thinks that comedians are saying serious things about the defamee.

Why feel guilty? the only so called victim of his jokes are the killer OJ Simpson. Norm was the only person who wasn't afraid to bring this travesty miscarriage of justice up over and over again. The hellish thing is that everyone knew he was guilty, even his most staunch supporters, but they thought an eye for an eye was the only way to go, and that Simpson was the beacon of hope for all black men sent down by the justice system. The black hole sized flaw in that logic was that Simpson was guilty. How can he be the representation of justice for black people when he did it? It makes my head hurt thinking of the logic behind it. They saw it as a win for the black community for years of men being sent down for crimes they didnt commit, or for brutal sentences where the punishment didnt fit the crime. But this man Simpson, he murdered his wife and her friend. How can he represent any of that?

Michael Chi on Weekend Update last week reporting on OJ's death said this Norm worthy one: 'OJ died this weekend of cancer.....which was planted by the LAPD!!!' What a brilliant nod to the great Norm and his most infamous fearless comedic target at the very desk and job he did it from.
