Very nice video! The sound makes me remember the FIAT/AR Marelli, that operated in Brazil, in the cities of Santos, Rio de Janeiro and Salvador.

Loved riding on these, would love one for our trolleybus museum at Sandtoft, UK. We got our hands on a Edmonton trolley and it has been a huge draw for visitors.

After being sold to Mendoza, Argentina in the early 2000s and running there for a few years, I believe they're now languishing in an outdoor yard somewhere. 😢

Sound of this bus is remarkably like the E800s they used to have in San Francisco.

Max speed is pretty much the same as of a bus, but it's not so important in the city [center] as the acceleration. When a trolleybus merges into the traffic, it doesn't slow it that much. Moreover, it doesn't need any gearbox, whether manual or automatic, so it runs more smoothly. Also, in mountain cities (e.g. Switzerland) it's also important that they can be far more powerful than diesel buses (they climb hills well). There are various advantages, too, but that's on Wikipedia.
I like bus drivers in Western world, in Asia bus drivers doesn't like to talk anything bus.

these buses are similar to the D40HF, except that the E902 trolley is bigger than the D40HF.

It's April 15 and all the E901/902a buses will be off the road after the final run of 2805 driven by Angus McIntyre this Sunday. This marks the end of the E901/902a era. 1982-2008

Sounds kinda like an early 1990's Guangzhou Coach Works artic trolleybus in Guangzhou, China. Actually a Guangzhou-Shanghai consortium as Guangzhou only builds the body and the chassis framework of the same design as its fossil fuel artic bus, and instead installs machinery and powertrain of Shanghai manufacture, which is also used in Shanghai made trolleybuses of the same era. All Shanghai designs and technologies but based on the same principle as the Westinghouse parts illustrated here.

What cannot be seen in this video is the acceleration, which is far superior to buses. Trolleybus leaves the stop and speeds up much much faster than a bus, even a modern one.
