Ah yes, the simplicity of the "old school" one-lunger fanner. I have never owned a Bravo, but I have always loved them and even today (2023) still want one. They seem like just plain fun sleds. Of course I really do love my red Indy 440. Great machine and tons of fun. But I will always have a soft spot in my heart for these one-lungers machines.

I'm 57 years old and bought my first bravo. It's a 95 long track and I'm looking so forward to riding old school again.

My dad got a 1985 Yamaha Bravo when he was 11. I learned how to snowmobile on it at like 4. I got upgraded a couple of times and it was sitting in the shed for about 8 years. I told my dad I wanted to fix it up (thinking it would need several things) one day I asked him if he would work in it and bring it to my friends house... it started in 2 pulls after he put gas and oil in it😂 funnest sled ever😂

This brings back so many memories riding on our Bravo back in the day. Brother would take me with him and let me sit in front but he’d get pissed cos I’d be in the way. I was only 6-7 years old in late 80s. That was a red short track. I learned on that one and then by the mid 90s we had a long track. She was fun too man. Go anywhere.

I brought a Bravo up a a 850 foot 65 degree incline once and the riding party I was with was shocked. Do not under estimate this machine!

Not much better than running in fresh deep powder on a snowy evening. Those days dont come along very often, savor every second!

Cool sled . I have a pretty mint 83' with a Kimpex track . I thought the 82' had a " br 250" decal on the tunnel ?

Christian Thério, we have that in common. I actually haven’t ridden anything newer than the bravo. Living in 1982 for all these years.

first sled i drove was a bravo when i was 11, and that was the last year they made them. i had the same year as this one 82 short track but the track went and suspension was shot so now i have a 77 enticer 250. i just love the enticers and bravo's!

what is the top speed of a bravo on a packed trail if you had to guess? i had one as a kid, and can't recall how fast it was being over 20 years ago but at the time i thought it was pretty awesome.
@suchsweetsaxophones6 жыл бұрын
Ha, good question. I had my strava application running a few weeks ago and my top speed was recorded at 36mph. That was at -5 F and on a soft packed trail I had been over once or twice. Ill do another test on hard pack trail soon and let you know. I think it could go 50mph given hard pack and some gravity down hill.

@@suchsweetsaxophones that be neat to know, it was my uncle's sled who I lived with and he sold it once we got older. He tells me today that was one of the dumber decisions he made since now he has grand kids that would love to ride that thing as a starter sled.
