This old pony has the old 3.8L Essex OHV V6 which was only good for 112 HP in It's day. Power was delivered to the real wheels through a 3 speed auto
This is actually a rare find & there wasnt a large production.

Because of this video, I eventually found my 83 GLX convertible 3 years ago. White with red interior. All original with only 26,000 original miles. I love my 3.8 V-6!

I had an 84 with the FI 3.8 and loved it. It was actually pretty quick. Would chirp the tires in 1st and 2nd (3 speed auto C4).

The standard has been set for 83 verts with this car. I bought a heap and rebuilt it into this (but white). I am amazed however how people critique a near 30 year old car for having things like "cracked rubber" and other minor issues that any car will have after 30 years of use. If you want like new condition buy new!

I have an 84 mustang lx convertible with the 302, with the exception that everything he used on the interior is broken on mine! Including the convertible top haha.

I have the same car, 83 mustang glx convertible with 3.8 L v-6 and auto trans. Mine is yellow and has about 223000 miles and the condition is very different than the one you have here. My heater core even went out back in the spring. How about a trade?

Back in like 92 my dad got one that was white that was an 83 Idk what year i think it was like 4 years after he blew a tire going onto a interstate and flipped it he was fine lol it was an automatic

Neither would the naturally aspirated version of the 2.3L "Lima" four-banger, which is not to be confused with its turbocharged variation that had powered a handful of GT models in 1979-80 and 1983-86, and the 1984-86 SVO.

what did it sell for?-----i bought 1 at auction-lx convertible-26k miles-needed body work-for 600-i think i stole it-am in process of fixing up myself-minimal body-it is completely original -tires everything-was a marthas vineyard island car -hence the low miles-

I just bought 1 of these for $250 looked like crap at first washed and waxed it and almost brand new paint. it says 40k and its in too nice of condition for over 200k
