@@collectiblemotorcarI had a 1982 Mustang GT 5.0 HO. 1982 was the 1st year. I got brand new in March of 1983. But 1983 was the 1st year of the convertible. I don’t think that particular Mustang was a rare car in its day. Its rare now. A 1984 Mustang GT 350 anniversary edition was rare in its very rare. Wow i miss the 80s best time of my life. Thanks for sharing sir.

Just curious what this ended up going for. I had my eye on this for quite a while and when I was finally ready to pull the trigger on it, it was sold. I ended up picking up a white '83 GT with T-tops from Bring a Trailer shortly after this one sold. I have always wondered how much this sold for since I missed out on it. I really like the GT I ended up with, but this one has a soft spot in my heart. It was beautiful, rare color combo, and tastefully modified. I still think about it!

They swapped quite a few stuff over. The dual hump crossmember is one. I still have the single hump in mine but have duals.

I have an 83 GT with T-tops. Great shape. I wonder how rare mine is. I will never sell it by the way. It’s going to my kids.

I have a 1983 GLX. Convertible with all of the exact same as this one in the video. So does that make mine rare?

Depends. Do you have the Marty Report?

I would imagine that 1 of 20 part is that goofy Ghia steering wheel in a GT. Don't forget the 900 GT figure is for verts, not all GTs. They made a lot of GLX verts with 5.0s and a lot of GT hatches.

You mean only 900 gt CONVERTIBLES in '83. Ford made a bunch of GTs. I had an '83. My brother had an '83. My HS buddy had an '83. Not that rare, except most of them have now been wrecked and junked.
