That's the best clean guitar sound I've ever heard, and the distortion was even better! Must have one!😃👍

Beautiful guitar. Reminds me of a hybrid between an Explorer and a Flying V. Awesome playing.

Mike that last song you played on the 1983 Gibson Moderne, was that your song or someone elses, I love it.

I only play originals or do live improvisations of my own stuff. So I'm glad you liked that track. :)

Amazing guitar! I've never even seen one before, and the design is really off the wall for Gibson. But the sound is utterly incredible!!

While you really have to get used to the body shape, the playing comfort is top notch!

Hello Mike, love all your videos, it would be great if you could demo some vintage ( 1959-64 ) Gibson ES 335's or some old Epiphone's of the same era, you've got great tone and playing skills & you know how to showcase the best of those old instruments, thanks, Peace.
@MikeBurn8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. I'm sorry that I can't offer a video of a vintage 1959-1964 ES-335 as you have suggested, but I hope a first production year 1958 Gibson ES-335 TD will be OK too. :))))) kzbin.info/www/bejne/roLGamp8jNJ1qtk

Great looking guitar and good playing! I however do not know what kind of Explorer you'd be talking about? I've owned two and both of them balanced perfectly.

They call the headstock shape "The Gumby" edition.....you'll see the resemblance. Bought mine a few years ago but it wasn't the 1983 like this one....it is a clean sounding guitar, but a pedal of any sort brings it alive...IT ROCKS. I've wondered if they made a left hand version of this guitar, and if they did what did it look like.

As a beginner, I was glad to find this channel. I have large, meaty hands, and was wondering if having thick, but not extremely long fingers would be a liability... But, this fellow has hands just like mine, and he does just fine. I'd love to have his ability, too.....
@Shred_The_Weapon6 жыл бұрын
Lee White, some guitar players have had big, meaty hands. Two whom come to mind are Jimi Hendrix and Terry Kath (founding Chicago guitarist who also played bass), and a third is Sting, and a fourth is Eric Clapton.

It looks decent, but the lack of an upper wing on the body looks really strange and the headstock is awful :) The pickups are amazing though. The middle position had a nice open-room sound.
@MikeBurn8 жыл бұрын
While you definitely miss the upper wing on first sight I have to say that the guitar really feels surprisingly comfortable on your body.
