I've got a stack of the factory becker radios I had about 30 of them in like new condition. I've been using them for target practice. Who wants cassette.

I also got of those new amplifiers and works way better than the factory unit. One of those rare cases were the aftermarket is better than the OEM. When I got my car, the tach was non op and after taking it apart, I found a folded business card stuffed inside the amplifier. The business card was from a European car repair shop in Northern Virginia. I guess that was how they fixed in the early 2000s... Anyways, I resoldered everything and it worked for 8 years before giving up the ghost again. Fortunately, right by the time it failed, this guy put this new amplifiers for sale again. They were offered in the past but were not available for a long time.

Yeah the common fix back in the day was to wad up a piece of paper and put it under the amplifier in the gap between the amplifier insert and the cap. This would add some extra pressure on the pins and it would work again. That's what that European shop did on yours.

When you turned on the becker 612 , I expected to hear some 1980's cool music that I love and proper time correct period for the w123 era not that song REMA "calm down" that I hate it and all modern shitty music . Next time please play some eighties great songs while working and driving w123 300D, s123 300TD, c123 CD and w126 300SD I'm sure these wonderful jewelry will appreciate that a lot from you .
