She looks sweet brother and very nicely restored. You are correct about the seats being from an 85. The sunroof is after market. The speedo bezel is incorrect for a GT although it still looks very nice. The details on the car look very high end and she sounds amazing.

Beautiful restoration from a guy in his 50's (like me). I basically did the same thing on my same color '83 GT starting with motor and ending with paint job (in my early 50's). Mine has T-tops with black Pony's (17x8 with Sumitomo tires from American Muscle) and is strikingly similar under the hood. I love the dual snorkel air cleaner and Powered by Ford valve covers. Not sure which carburetor you have, but I recently upgraded to the Edelbrock 650CFM AVS2 and it runs like an EFI car. I still have the 7.5" rear end (3.08 gears) but would love to put an 8.8" with 3.73's in it. Anyhow, love those 4 eye Fox's!

@@RCREVEALED I found a basically untouched 83 red and black GT. The original owner only put headers on it. Perfect red interior 5 speed and I think it's best to probably keep it original. Do the upgrades lower the value?

@@mr.e1220 I feel if you do have a low mile all original stock fox, you should leave it stock. It will bring more money.

@@RCREVEALED I'm going to buff this original paint out and just enjoy the car. I'm glad I found it now in my 40s and not in my 20s. I would have beat this car in my 20s. I really like it because when you see Mustangs I don't hardly see these early fox bodies with the four headlights. I caught the car for sale when they put it out in the first hour. I believe I saved it from the wrong person buying it. LOL. The daughter that sold it to me told me that her father love this car.

I bought an 83 all original GT that I thought was a Survivor but I found out that it was hit on the passenger side very early and it's life. So that side was repainted from the factory. It made me feel disappointed to find that out. It's unfortunate because the car is such low mileage and the interior is perfect and everything else is great but I can't get out of my mind that the car was hit. That lowers the value I'm sure. I don't even know if I can call it a survivor anymore.
@RCREVEALED4 жыл бұрын
Some people would still call it a survivor car and some people wouldn't. But either way the car is still nice and is still on the road. I call that a survivor car. Appreciate u watching.
