27:37 This is why I love this channel: it's real. No bullcrap, just people working on cars and running into things that happen when you work on cars. Edit: I wrote the above comment while I was watching the video. Little did I know at 28:34 (only a minute later!) the REAL shiznit would happen. I like the channels that do things for show and for fun, but when something's real, the viewer feels it, and this channel really brings that across with Alex's enthusiasm, concern, and immediate reactions to bad situations.

I have a 91 Mustang LX, that seems to have a similar problem, where it's losing fuel after a few minutes. Likely the fuel filter, or the placement of the sending unit - which you video helped me to identify. Sadly because I couldn't identify those issues prior, it's been sitting for nearly 6 months. Thank you for your enthusiastic adventure! I hope to get my Mustang running again.

I had no problems with it and only changed the tires and alternator during my ownership. Great car!

Thinking why not push auto tech schooling with some of the younger people ?! They could help themselves with their own cars and make a little income, if not a full time job but maybe with a excellent paying part time , side job . Not to mention an enjoyable job with gratification .Then I get back home and find this channel mentioned and had to check it out. Very well done and it has motivated me into pursuing my first love ( my 2nd love distracted me and kept me from my 1st ! but she's gone now, thank God) and that 1st was working on cars. I recently revived my own '87 Fox, funny to watch you guys go through a lot of the same stuff that I did. In a pinch you can jump the starter solenoid to crank any Ford of this era. When you're replacing the distributor cap and wires, you should remove the sprout connector and bump the timing to 14 Degrees at idle, it wakes the stock cars up a bit, it's probably still at the stock 10 Degrees since nothing else looks like it's been touched. My oldest sister had a brand new 1990 Fox body GT, that was strawberry red with the five speed transmission. We went to Mountain View Ford in Chattanooga Tennessee, and I helped her pick it out. Even though it only had 225 HP and 300 lbs of torque, it was a very fun car to drive. It's hard to believe that we have cars like my Chrysler 300 SRT8 now, and the 2021 Super Stock that I just sold that had over 800 HP. That was a little bit too much for the street, but damn it was amazing how quick you can hit triple digit numbers on the speedometer. My wife said that I was going through a midlife crisis whenever I bought it, but she helped me get over it really quick after she drove it the first and only time. LoL That's okay because there is a RAM TRX that I have my eyes on, I'll have to hide the paperwork from her this time. She'll never want to drive it, because she hates pickup trucks thank goodness. Great video thanks for sharing.

Hi guys, I am definitely no auto mechanic or the like, I do like to admire cars a little though, you have me hooked after just two of your videos, more so, after watching the the three of you bring to life that $2,500 old mustang, I am looking forward to seeing this to the end, and in-between do the catchup thing with some of your other videos...great show, and it's always good to see that humour while you work.

My 1991 Chevy G20 van has 200k miles & it’s dry as a bone underneath no leaks at all, it has zero blow by & no noises, it’s got the 5.7l small block 350 400 transmission, it’s got a lot of power I was very surprised when I got it running after I bought it how good it gets up & goes, it will roast the tires off no problem it’s a burnout machine for sure, I love old Chevy vans their so cool looking!

This was an AWESOME episode!! Thank you Alex and friends! Everyone LOoves an old Mustang 5.0. (These were made for modding. Mo powa and...what did ford call it? Posi Trac? Or was it True Trac? Well an LSD diff anyway. No way that has over 100,000 miles. It's 43 for sure. I think EVERYTHING on that car is from factory. Even the plugs. I also think those mufflers were either an option from OEM or were done by request for the owner by the dealer. IMHO.

I bought my 1987 Mustang new. I retired it with 306K miles, in the early 2000's. I started it back up 4 or 5 years when the fuel pump died and I am slowly bringing it back. The interior is cherry. It seems like its about 75% of what it used to be. That is still pretty quick!

Normally when I see these "first start after XX years" videos, I want to put my fist through the screen at the sheer ignorance and idiocy on display, like "let's just throw a starter pack on here and give her a good ole' krank, wow, why did the engine destroy itself?" This is done with great care and sympathy towards the car. I love it.

If it's from the weat, places are a lot more spread out. If it has 143K miles, it's probably a lot of highway miles based on all the wear indicators in the interior.

I knew that ignition switch needed replacement from the first time he tried to start it and said it had a sweet spot. That is a very common failure on 80s-90s Fords. The switch falls apart and causes all kinds of issues. That could be the reason it was parked in the first place.
