Nice motor refurbishing. If you do that same type work on the rest of it, it will look amazing. I await for the next chapter now. Thumbs Up!

Thank you sir! Haha yes most people would just wipe it down, and it would be all good, but I like to take it apart and get every little piece of dust out of there.

you should clean the governor real good and lubricate with lithium grease on heavy worn areas this will allow motor to start up easer.

Weird having a fan blade on rotor shaft at one end on the inside, but no vent holes in the end cap around the bearing in front of said fan = how is that supposed to work/be cooled with no airflow - designed to overheat? 🤨 🙄
@AJRestoration
@AJRestoration 3 жыл бұрын
It actually has 6 small air holes at the bottom of the casing/body.
@samuelfellows6923
@samuelfellows6923 3 жыл бұрын
@@AJRestoration - they will hardly be doing anything if there are no vent holes at the other end where the fan is - I would have drilled some holes around the bearing to allow the fan to draw air into it for cooling, maybe another motor that has that rotor/fan has vent holes on it and this version doesn’t have them

You don't need all of the graphic title screens. The transition in and out of video is really jarring.
@AJRestoration
@AJRestoration 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment. There is actually a very good reason for the title screens. I will however look into what transitions will still fulfill the duty and yet not obstruct the flow of the video.
@DD-DD-DD

You're the only restoration channel that uses them. No idea why they would be "necessary".
@AJRestoration
@AJRestoration 3 жыл бұрын
When not using KZbin premium or an adblocker KZbin tends to place adds in odd places which I feel might be even more disruptive. We have noticed that with the black title screens KZbin tends to choose these spots more often. I am looking into changing this with a smoother transition though.
