I was addicted to these small sets. and I always bought multiples when I could. I had a shoebox full of equipment. I had a dog which dug holes in the yard in the corners. The holes and all these pieces put together makes a great Vietnam era (I thought at the time) fire base. Oil cans gas can sand bags towers tents bivouacs cannons mortars Communications gear. I even buried two cinderblock to use as underground bunkers incase of Cobra Artillery LOL. These were the greatest sets they ever made to me. If you was to dig in that corner today. No telling how much you would find. Maybe a lot of those antennae's .

I always like the Bivouac as a kid. It was a change from the constant "heavy metal hardware" vehicles and a reminder that soldiers need to catch some z's once in a while.

this was my favorite small playset. i got that and junkyard/mutt for christmas that year. i like pairing it with the mortar, forward observer, and mountain howitzer. great detailing and simplistic, yet functional.

Kevin, do you have any suggestions on how to remove, stripped, rusty, screws from the back of an action figure?
@formbx2578 жыл бұрын
If the screw is really stuck and you're worried about cracking the plastic, try dipping the figure in hot water for a few seconds. If it's just rusty, try a few drops of white vinegar or anti-rust spray (like WD-40). If the screw is stripped, you'll have to drill it out.

Kevin, thanks for the advice. I ended up having to drill them out. I rushed on the first one, and ended up melting the socket, that the screw seated in. The rest were fine. I will keep the rest of the tips in mind. Your awesome!!!

I've missed all these play scenes at the end. I know the stop motion gives you more control, but you did such great work with the fishing line.
