I have a 1979 Chevy Impala with a replaced single exhaust. The muffler shop guy said I couldn't put dual exhaust on it. They did such a crappy job on the single exhaust which is one inch away from my back tire, welding a rod from the exhaust to frame to hold it up. I had that fixed. I'm considering replacing it with dual exhaust. This video was helpful. Thank you.

Question: Why do dual into single into dual exhaust? Why not just do true dual, from the exhaust manifolds all the way to the tips? Just curious.

what motor?, i have an 86 parisienne brougham with a 307. did you fab the y pipe yourself, im guessing ? thats my issue is finding a y pipe that’ll work for dual straight pipe and most exhaust shops by me want ridiculous amount of money to make one

Factory 305, I have an 84 myself and ended up switching out the 305 for a 350 with rv cam and straight piped it as well. Now debating on lsx swap
