You said it “it’s my truck” people are always gonna have a say, and that’s all it is…a say. Killer truck man. I love my 86 Dodge Ram D100 Custom. JB weld has been my go to for a lot of jobs. Right on!

It looks good to me bro! I have the same problem on my 87 d 150. You helped me out with what I have to do. Can't wait to see it painted. Keep up the good work.

I have used the JB weld on my 1967 Plymouth b body, I used it as panel bonding with pop vivets 2 years ago on my quater panel patch. Still looks great, no cracking or anythong.

Nice. Gotta love those B bodies! Thanks for watching, bud 👍🏼👍🏼

Rust repair looks good. I've considered the jb weld repair on my 87 Toyota bed. I don't have the time to do it perfectly so I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for the video.

Thanks. Give it a try. It works pretty good👍

Heck yeah, nice job. I am dealing with some drip rail rust on my ‘91 cummins. Not as bad of rust as on yours. Ground out all the old seam sealer, going to bead blast It all then put some rust converter on it, then seam sealer, primer and paint. I appreciate your videos and your can do attitude. Keep up the good work and videos

Thanks!! I appreciate it 👍🏼 Those drip rails are the death of so many good trucks.

I use their Kwickweld for rusted out drip rails and trunk seal areas. Works.

It definitely works great! It even sands pretty well. There's a video where I fix my school bus's rusted out power steering reservoir with it too. Love it!! 👍🏼
@noampitlik2332 Жыл бұрын
@@HFG Yes, sands almost like metal body filler, just lots stronger.

Hi. Im from Sweden, i have an 1988 dodge truck and i have the exact same problem with mine and my first thought was to replace the hole roof with a better one but your sollution is mutch cheeper, and faster. Wonderful. I Will do it like this to. Thanks for an wonderful video. Good job 😎👍

Wow! Sweden! That's so cool. Welcome, and I hope you have good luck with your repair. On a side note, be sure to seal the drip rain with epoxy primer before laying down the JB. 👍🏼

Great job! I recently bought a 1987 W150 that is in good condition for its years but did find a couple of suspicious spots on that rain gutter.
@HFG Жыл бұрын
The rain gutter has been the death sentence for a lot of these trucks. Best take care of it as soon as possible

Looks excellent! I need to do the same thing on my van.. I did some patching with bondo and it didn't hold up.. The rust needs to be treated...
@HFG2 жыл бұрын
For sure. Bondo absorbs moisture like a sponge. Maybe try some of that Corroseal if you don't have another way to get rid of the corrosion. It'll leave holes though after it eats the rust away.

That’s a nice repair! I got a 1990 Montero with rotted out drip rails in the corners that I’m gonna try this on. It’s a nice truck but not nice enough to cut and weld.
@HFG10 ай бұрын
Hopefully it works out for you. This this to be holding up fine. Good luck 👍🏼

A previous owner loaded some type of goo under the drip rail above the windshield on my ‘84 D100🥴 it’ll be a job for when I’m not daily driving er I reckon as I’m sure it’s only trapped more moisture and crud😅
@Therewasonce2 жыл бұрын
Btw I think it’s a legit repair, wrong way the right way😂
@HFG2 жыл бұрын
@@Therewasonce Thanks! Sorry to hear about yours, but hopefully the previous owner did a decent job on yours. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. It sure beats the alternative lol 👍👍👍

I think if it was me and I was just going to patch it I would have brazed it with brass . The used brass on those trucks and older vehicles in the past. And when you pull the windshield look down on the bottom right and left corners by the A piller where the cowling meets the used brass to weld it there
@HFG Жыл бұрын
Brazing would have been a better solution for sure. Since this truck won't ever see real weather anymore I figured this would be an easy route. I haven't brazed in 25 years.
