thank you glad it helps! also turns out later I found that the fuel lines coming out of the tank we leaking and the sending unit was clogged so I replaced all fuel lines going to the tank, the sending unit, dropped the tank and cleaned it, new filler neck and hoses, and that really did the job. Also later found that the distributor was faulty and causing it to randomly turn off while driving.

Just did my 85 ramcharger f/pump 5.2 did not have to remove the alternator, at least on mine was not in the way, it does look easier to work with out it,,,also I used some spray adhesive to glue gasket to pump only,,,not to block cause next time you will need to scrape all of that junk away,,,(got the same pump as you, not sure why they include 2 gaskets, maybe in case you destroy one and have a back up) You worried about the dirty threads, and you spend all that cash on a new or rebuilt carb,,,BUT DID NOT bother to change the fuel filter,,even tho you saw all the dirt that came out of it. it only cost 7 bucks and 1.25 x foot of gas line to replace all them little pieces of gas lines(fyi,,they are 2 different sizes) if they haven't been change in a while they get cracked,,, Thank's for the video, and your right is great being able to work on this older cars/trucks with all that room under the hood.

Do you have 3 hard lines running down the passenger side frame and coming out there? Truck had all lines disconnected so I can confused on which line is the main fuel line into the pump itself

Did you need to make any adjustments to the carb after you installed it? Can you even do that?

Yes you can adjust the idle air mixture screws and the idle speed on the carb
