I feel the same way, most of my cars leave me better then when got them( exception of my 68 LeMans which was t bone) Sad to see a car or bike that’s wasn’t taken care, or been in a accident after I owned it.

My first car was an 84 Accord LX. Bought it in 92 with 70,000 and lasted 7 years. Put over 100,000 miles on it before it took a shit. One thing after another needing replacing. RIP. I miss that thing. Thanks for posting this. I wish I took more pictures of mine.

That's one sweet old car - whoever did the restoration, and especially the paint job, deserves to be congratulated. Too bad they don't make nice-looking cars like this anymore.

My mom gave me her '84 burgundy Accord for my 21st Bday in '89. First car I had with working AC. I loved that car. 5 speed manual trans w/cruise control and would get 40mpg on the highway.

In the nineteenth's my dad used to have one and he said to me that it was the cheapest car he had ever owned. He sold the cad because it had a lot of rust but the engine had around 500.000 miles and was in an amazing condition.

I actually spent a number of years working for a man who personally owned more than 400 cars. He would bring me a car that he just bought and tell me to clean it up and what he wanted was a car that could go on a showroom floor. This Honda as actually a daily driver in New Jersey and I bought it from him on eBay, then cleaned and repaired it. You see the end result in this video, it really is a great car.

Man I want that car!!! My first car was an 84 Honda Accord lx (mind you that I got it in 2003) I loved it, it was a awesome car, and it would not die! The only thing that killed it was when some one stole it, then torched it. I still miss that car.

some of best built automobiles ever. He died in 91, and I had a 91 Accord coupe. Best damn honda I ever owned, and I owned 2 a 91 and 97. The 91 was far superior to the 97. After he was gone, Honda quality like all the others, Toyotas, Nissans, and Mazdas started it's slow decline in to the depths of the crap they make today. Long Live the Mr. Honda era Hondas!

My dad had one in red/maroon. It was his first car when he moved to the USA. Sadly in NJ there was ice on the road and it got into a tiny fender bender in 1992 but it was enough to damage the radiator. My dads not at all a car guy and a non working ac is enough for him to sell a car so he sold it to the scrap yard. Wish we still had it just for nostalgia. Just bought a 1985 toyota supra and my dad doesnt understand why I did, since any car older than 10 years is a "pos" to him. Sorta funny cause I brought him to the japanese classic car show here in California and what do you know there was a maroon 1984 honda accord there on display and my dad was like wtf people actually care about these cars?? lol

Love old Japanese cars. My family had an 85 accord 4 door when I was young. These cars were and are still the shit. Ahhh, the golden era when Honda still built it's cars properly, and was still under the iron fist of Mr. Soichiro Honda. Mr. Honda didn't sell crap. I have a book all about Honda history, and about Mr. Honda himself. He didn't put up with shoddy build quality or cost cutting or people cutting corners. He would destroy anyone that went against him. Hondas from his reign are

FYI, Accord & Prelude engines of this generation were designed to mash the gas while turning the ignition. Naturally, one would release the gas pedal as soon as it started. Wish you could find me an '85-'87 Si in good shape.

Jealous of the car and its low mileage. I have a 1996 LX 2.2L 4-speed auto that I put 100 miles on daily. Some of its videos are up on KZbin under my channel. It has 227k miles currently, and is still running strong. I dread the day that it dies simply because I'm attached to it.

Brett Schlobohm I bet. my first car was an 84 bought used in 92. loved that car. Sorry to hear you had to sell it. I don't see any round here in Louisville, much less in this condition. Was checking prices and a decent ones going for 3 to 5. relatively high, paid 3500 back then. going up in value. And hard to find.

You got rid of a car because the engine would cut out? It cuts out for a reason and that reason is likely just an easy fix. If the rest of the car was straight and fine condition it would really have been a loss and a great find for the next owner
