I will never forget this! As a member of the Olympic Honor Choir during the dress rehearsal it was pure pressure to put on the show for our families as the audience in the LAC. All coming together for the first time, the Timpani Ensemble, the Pianists, the Marching Band all coming under the baton of John Williams just worked our hearts out! The actual Opening Ceremony was just pure joy! We sang for all the athletes as we were staged in the LA Sports Arena just a pure party! What an experience. I’ll be in my 60s in 2028 and would do it again in a heartbeat… but it’s time for the new crop of 20 something musicians and artists to put on the show- enjoy it!

This was one of the most intense and proudest musical experiences of my life. I was one of the 144 trumpets. (The shortest one, iirc.) :) Thank you so much for posting this!
