How many cracks in the frame ? these trucks are prone to cracks in multiple areas of the frames especially behind the gearbox Built like a rock LOL
@theredstonetorchlogotrt13963 жыл бұрын
They don’t crack as much as your insinuating... typically it’s just the halfton frames by the steering box, (atleast that’s been my luck I’ve had 4 of them all 4wd)

Putting 1 tons on a half ton chassis is a very, very bad idea!!! unless it’s go only going to be used in competition use and you’re trying to lighten it up…. Those Diffys will tear that frame apart.… I know.… its what I do.

Very well aware we have been also doing this since the 70s. We use a frame support and frame brace as well as 90% of the time a panhard bar and a crossover steering. The main reason for doing this is increased bearing size and life and larger brakes and overall heavier components. The frame comment is right but if a truck has 40" or bigger tires it is a VERY VERY VERY good idea if you dont want to loose a wheel riding down the road or be able to stop at a reasonable pace.
