The Kickstarter gear is supposed to have a thrust washer on the end of the shaft that will make the motor want to lock up and not want to turn over I know I've had this happen and the water pump cover just use jb weld and a drimmel tool a few times till u get it formed right and make sure the water pump impellor will still turn smoothly I've done this on a few covers now this is if you still have the bikes see this is a older video

Hey I have a question I bought a 1984 Cr125 and it's my current project but the frame tabs are broken, I was curious will my 1984 Cr125 motor drop into the 1985 cr125 frame?

I have had my 84" for three tough months now and I can't seem to get it right. I rebuilt the top end new cylinder head and gaskets but the compression seems too easy for me, I can push kick lever down with my hand. I don't think that's right!!. But after the rebuild it started but soon as I took the choke off it cut off. I really need help!! I love this bike and can't wait to show it off on the trails. What should I do??? Pls help me

Hey Cole. I can make complete racers out of both the '84 and '85 as I picked up a third '84. I hope to split the case on all three bikes soon. I will post the third bike update soon. I just got an 85' cr125 and when I was riding it made a noise like antifreeze was shooting out where it goes into the engine. I've tightened down all the hose clamps and it still does it. Then at night it made that same noise again but I saw either sparks or flames shooting out of the front the the exhaust where It comes off the head. Whats wrong with it?

I have a 84 cr125r it will go in gear but the clutch won't work it always grabs and I need the sub chamber bug I can't find one anywhere please help

Fix both of them. Two different problems on the bikes.

Cool, it looked like the '84 would be better. Can u make more vids on the yz100? Thats my favorite bike ever. Im 13, and vintage motocross and heavy metal are my faviorite things in the world.

how much did you get them for. i found a fully running rebuilt engine 1985 cr125. and it comes with a 1986 cr125 with a seized engine. for 700$ and i know how to fix a seized engine

Sounds like your price is in line for a ride ready bike and not a full restore. You probably know that the '86 engine is not the same as the '84/'85 engine so you can't use it as a parts motor. I got my bikes a bit cheaper but they do not run...yet, hahaa. And, several days ago I procured a third CR125, a 1985 model again with a water pump issue! But now, I should be able to assemble two complete racers out of the three bikes rather than getting one racer out of two bikes, woop woop. I'll post soon...

ya i should have both bikes up and running soon my brother took the 86 engine to his shop. but its looks like i might be taking them to the desert this weekend!

Yo Dog, lol, I just received the '84/85 Honda CR125 service manual. Also picked up a third '84 CR125 which will allow me to make two great runners out of three bikes! Should be going into the cases within the next week or so. Check back for the video. Thanks for your interest...Rooster
